These beautiful edible flower ice cubes are a wonderful way to welcome Spring, and add life to a spring party be it Easter or Holi, the Indian festival of colors.
Late March makes me so excited! Although Spring may not have made its arrival yet in the part of the world I live in, it is officially the Spring season and the anticipation of seeing nature in full bloom is enough to lift one’s mood up.
This is also the time when you know that you are officially past the dull lull of the Winter months after which holidays and festivals will start to appear again, be it the pastel colored, beautiful Easter or the vivid and bright Festival of Colors Holi.

These beautiful flower ice cubes are a wonderful way to bring that element of nature to any party that you have, make a casual get together more memorable or simply a way to amaze your guests with your newly acquired skills in making an elegant drink.
This can also be a fun creative project for kids with a beautiful drink afterwards. Yet another that spark their excitement after what has been a very dull, oftentimes distressing, 12 months. Not that you need any reasons to add these cubes to your Spring drinks to make them more festive and beautiful.
If you have a flower garden, you can use your own flowers so that they add flavors. Make sure that your flowers are edible and that you wash your flowers well through.

How to make this floral ice cubes?
- Gather the flowers and lightly wash and then pat dry

- Place a large flower or few tiny flowers at the bottom of the ice tray and fill the tray with 1/4 inch water and then freeze water
- Once frozen layer more flowers on top of the ice and fill the rest of the ice tray with water and freeze again.
